Avondale Montessori Academy's mission is . . .

To prepare a new generation for life-long academic, personal, and professional success through a rigorous, tuition-free, Montessori education which nurtures academic and social potential, fosters an aspiration to excellence, and cultivates a personal commitment to a peaceful and sustainable global community.

Our Vision Statement

Avondale Montessori Academy will:

• Bring the community a proven, progressive education driven by a deep belief in the worth of every child.
  
  
• Have high expectations of its students. High college attendance rates, high grades and test scores, and high attendance are assumed for every student. 
  
  
• Use project-based, problem-based, experiential, and interdisciplinary learning that uses the city and the world as its classroom.
  
  
• Develop its curriculum to embody service-based learning.  Students will be out in the community, and the community will be brought into the classroom.
  
  
• Welcome students of all races, abilities, colors, and creeds.
  
  
• Serve as a striking example of green architecture.
